Best time to go: Perfect playing conditions are during the summer months (June, July, August). Next best option would be late spring (May and early June), and fall (September and October).
Airport: Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is about an hour drive south of Whistling Straits. Another option is Green Bay Austin Straubel Int'l Airport (GRB) which is about 50 minutes north of Whistling Straits.

The Straits: This is the most well-known and famous course at Whistling Straits. Designed by Pete Dye, it has hosted numerous major championships, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. This is the crown jewel of Whistling Straits and should be played twice.
The Irish: Also designed by Pete Dye, The Irish is a beautiful and challenging course located adjacent to The Straits. Although not as many views of the lake, the Irish Course is an extremely fun and challenging course. This is the perfect course to play before the Straits.
Blackwolf Run – River: This course is part of the Blackwolf Run complex and was also designed by Pete Dye. It has hosted the U.S. Women's Open twice and is known for its challenging layout, which features water hazards or gorges on 14 of 18 holes. The course is set among the beautiful natural landscape of the Sheboygan River.
Blackwolf Run - Meadows: Also part of the Blackwolf Run complex, Meadows was designed by Pete Dye and is a more traditional parkland-style course. It is known for its wide fairways, rolling hills, and challenging greens, as well as stunning views of the surrounding Wisconsin countryside.
Blackwolf Run - Meadows: The Baths features a 10-hole par 3 course, two-acre putting course, and food and beverage service. This fun course is perfect for a late evening cocktail before dinner.
