Jaw Dropping…  The Seaside Course at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia is magnificent. It is widely known as a top 100 public course in the United States. Redesigned to perfection by renowned golf architect Tom Fazio in 1999, the Seaside Course seamlessly integrates its natural surroundings, offering picturesque views that will leave you in awe. Set against the backdrop of the breathtaking Georgia coastline, this course provides breathtaking views of the crystal-clear Atlantic Ocean and the lush maritime forests that fringe the fairways.

As you make your way through the course, you'll encounter the signature feature of Seaside—the changing landscapes. Embracing its name, Seaside showcases the harmonious coexistence of various elements, including the coastal dunes, gentle sea breezes, and the vibrant coastal flora. Each hole presents a distinct character, captivating golfers with its unique challenges and beauty. From their website they say today’s course ties the original Seaside with the old Marshside course, transforming two nines from “18 holes that didn’t match into 18 matchless holes.”

Highlight Hole

Hole #13

Hole #13: This par-4 hole measures 409 yards and is considered the signature hole of the course. This dogleg left leaves golfers at the mercy of the wind. The fairway isn't much of a cake walk either. Besides the abrupt turn, there are 3 large fairway bunkers that line the right side which are begging for you to land in them. On the left, the fairway is lined with marshland.  If and when you get past all of that, you are left with an uphill shot into a raised green. If you score a birdie here, Golftrip will buy you a beer! Very tough hole, but extremely fun and rewarding. Make sure to bring a windbreaker, you’re going to need it!
