Located in Sanford, NC, Tobacco Road is a par-71 championship golf course that was designed by the renowned golf course architect Mike Strantz. Tobacco Road is considered one of Strantz's most creative and visually stunning designs.

Strantz crafted a masterpiece from a tobacco farm turned sand quarry. The course is built on 330 acres of rolling sand hills, and the natural features of the land have been incorporated into the design of the course. You can expect dramatic elevation changes, blind shots, and unique waste areas. Many golfers compare this course’s WOW factor to that of Wolf Creek in Mesquite, Nevada (course is stunning).

Highlight Hole

Hole #18

Hole #18: A 414 yard Par-4 that is considered one of the most challenging finishing holes in North Carolina. The tee shot has you hitting over a giant waste area to the fairway about 175 yards out. It’s a blind tee shot, so you have to wait for the people in front of you to ring the bell. Ding-Ding!!!

Once golfers find themselves over the waste area, you must navigate another series of sand dunes to reach the green. The green is protected by several deep bunkers and slopes from back to front, making it challenging to hold the ball on the green. Good luck leaving the course happy, 18 will kick your ass if you're not dialed in!
